Ta-Ku is on a roll. Not just as a DJ or producer, just in general. The Australian plays that middle ground that we love to see occupied, where hip-hop and deep electronic music mix. His Drive Slow, Homie mix series has been a welcome surprise, providing heads with some proper vibing music for long car rides. We got the last installment in December, and with proper spring weather right around the corner, a mix like this is choice. And the selection is key: not too many DJs are mixing cuts from M-Phazes and IAMNOBODI with cuts from Louis Futon, Abjo, and others. The ill shit? Not much from Ta-Ku. Just a great selection, much of it unreleased. Drive slow, androids.
