Porn actresses aren't new to EDM; aside from whatever many DJs and listeners do in the comfort and privacy of their own homes (and on trips to Dubai), there are a few pornstars who are DJing and producing, including Jessie Andrews, Sasha Grey, and Carter Cruise. While I'm not sure if any EDM outfits have released tribute songs to any of those three ladies, we did catch word that Timeflies, a duo out of NY that throws some electronic music into their pop-y, hip-hop-y cuts, has posted a tribute to Mia Khalifa, a Miami-based porn star that recently dethroned Lisa Ann as Pornhub's #1 searched star. You might've heard her name in the news, as she recently received death threats from her native Lebanon over wearing hijab during some of her scenes.
Truth be told, this track doesn't seem to have anything to do with Khalifa at all. There are references to her, sure, but aside from singing her name during the hook, it's not like they broke down their favorite scenes or anything. There's just a hypnotic flute in the beat and most talk about bottles and what not. It's catchy, though, which is probably why these guys got looks from Island Def Jam. #shrug
