If you followed EDM remotely in 2012, you’re familiar with the sound of trap. It’s inescapable, infectious, and part of EDM’s current acceptance within the US. One of the rising stars within the trap scene, and in EDM in general, is Valentino Khan. Over the last two years, Valentino has been everywhere: he’s produced tracks for T.I., B.o.B., and 2 Chainz while also being affiliated with Ultra Music, Mad Decent, and Dim Mak. His remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Work Hard, Play Hard” (alongside ETC!ETC!) was earmarked for a mixtape project with Rob Dyrdeck, and he’s officially done remixes for artists like Kreayshawn, DJ Craze, the Bloody Beetroots, and Benny Benassi.

Needless to say, the guy has been putting in work, and 2013 will be very important for him.

He’s had the support of Diplo, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, and many other top selectors within the EDM scene, and today, he kicks off his #TRAPTHURSDAYS series with Do Androids Dance. As you can see, for the next eight Thursdays, you’ll be receiving a free trap banger from Valentino. The guy’s a monster with the 808, and seems to channel majestic tracks when he gets going.

This week’s installment is a mission statement for the females in the club. “Twerk 4 Gold” is a direct statement, although with how awesomely heavy those horns are atop those beats, you won’t have to do much coaxing to get the women in the venue to start twerking when this one drops. This is a surefire track to get your weekend started with a BANG!

All you have to do is go to Valentino’s Facebook and give him a “Like,” and this track is yours. No questions asked.

Make sure you keep it locked for next week’s installment – dude’s got a ton of heat just waiting to be released!

Be sure to catch up with Valentino via Twitter, SoundCloud, or Facebook and say thanks!
