Off top, shouts to the B.YRSLF Division for, um, being themselves. They give zero flakes about what the rest of the world is doing musically; they are just about doing them. They recently hit us with Polish producer UMBA’s Dim LP, which we’re dissecting in the DAD labs and are loving what has come about with this set. So much so that we got the opp to drop something for you exclusively. This album cut, “Acid Flashbacks,” is track six of the set, and hits you like a shot. Not necessarily a quick and concise shot, but that tinge of deja vu that slaps the shit out of you in oncoming traffic, but instead of getting smacked by cars, you’re transported to that one rave where you took a blotter paper and expanded your mind. Colors were more vibrant, bass spoke with you, and you spent an hour discussing life with a wise old gorilla in a dark corner. That kind of trip.
Basically, get fucked up with us for a little bit before Dim drops on January 21. Unite and exercise your right to go ham to Umba’s “Acid Flashbacks.”
