Will Lorde be the Next 16-Year-Old to Blow?

Because we at Do Androids Dance stalk these Internets more than anyone else, I'm sitting here listening to another 16-year-old with the potential to pop. The vocals and production are from one source. The difference between this artist and the rest is, well, this was made by a girl. Alex Young mentioned Lorde today, and I decided to see what the buzz was about.

For a 16-year-old to be producing songs like this is incredible. She's leaning on electronic sounds, is clocking ridiculous numbers by herself, and is one remix away from being a household name. Her debut release came out in December, and hit #1 on the charts in her home country of New Zealand. What I do know is that she's walking the line between pop and electronic. We'll be watching to see what side she lands on.
