Quiet as kept, the seemingly always on-the-go Willy Joy may be one of America's most complete packages insofar as excelling at (from production, to live DJing and even social media) all realms of electronic dance music. He more than proves that point (in production) today with the release of "Geeks," his debut single for Fool's Gold Records' free-release favoring Clubhouse. Though a wearer of prescription glasses and noted supporter of ornithology (the study of birds, in Willy's case, especially owls), the track is so trapped out that it makes us feel like we're not so much nerds, but moreso geeked up in the middle of a rave than anything else. Ravey, new wave synths meet up with big room trap histrionics here, creating a surefire club crusher as EDM's love of 808s appears to be at a fever pitch.
