"My first goal when creating music is to make something that belongs in the future, not in the now." That Wolfgang Gartner quote from September is one of my favorite things about this year. He's been on one about the current state of EDM, and how utterly shit things can be at times because people are living for the now as opposed to making truly timeless material. His latest single, "Unholy," definitely feels like a reinvigorated Wolfgang, full of funky and fun, with Bobby Saint singing about how good it feels to be "Unholy" (is that irony?). It might end up soundtracking your rave-y Halloween party. Get into all kinds of debauchery.
"Unholy" is out now via iTunes, with everyone else getting it on November 4. In another Facebook post, Wolfgang spoke about why he chose to put this out on Kindergarten as opposed to a bigger label, and how it fits into his longer-term plans for his next album.
