Over the last year or so, I've realized one thing: Pusha T is becoming my favorite MC rapper to hear over weird shit. He has a voice and flow that can cut through some of the illest tracks, be it Chase & Status' "Machine Gun," Tiga's "Bugatti," or that massive YOGI tune "Burial." He doesn't compromise his bars, either, which is key. We've already heard a grip of "Burial" remixes, but as a part of OWSLA's Nestivus series, we get a new take on "Burial" from London's Star. One, who finds the balance between all-out bright house vibes and start-stop space-y hip-hop. Pusha's not in there to overpower the track at all; his job is to slide in when it's convenient, helping build to the drop, then cutting out when we need to get our groove on.

Heads who want this need to sort out a subscription to OWSLA's NEST IV; this is the six part of their Nestivus series for 2014, which is being done alongside Bridges For Music to help benefit the Langa Music School in South Africa. While you're at it, get up on that Eggnog compilation.
