If you call yourself a fan of current music and aren't up on Disclosure, you might need to restate your stance. This band of brothers took the world by storm with their brand of unabashedly pop-leaning dance music, first ingniting the charts in the UK before gaining general acceptance in the U.S. for their smash singles and equally impressive live show. Their domination has lead into 2014, with a Grammy nomination for Settle. If you're just getting into them or their sound, we have a feeling you're going to want to sample like-minded artists, right? House and UK garage-influenced producers who know how to twist a vocal into something you can feel... and see hit the charts? DAD's got you covered; but don't take our word for it.

MNEK

Not Available Interstitial

To be quite honest, we could have just made this a one-artist list with just MNEK's name. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ has become a star in a very short period of time. Whether he's lending vocals or production touches, MNEK has carved out his own unique sonic identity that makes his presence felt on every track he's involved. His soaring, soulful, if even a little angelic vocals over a grooving, sexy yet calming and soothing house rhyhtm? A hip-shakin' garage jam? MNEK has worked with Duke Dumont, Rudimental, Sub Focus, Javeon, Bastille, Tinie Tempah, and have even been nominated for a Grammy already.

Duke Dumont

Not Available Interstitial

Chances are that if you're already a fan of Disclosure, you've probably heard of Duke Dumont (at least in passing.) The producer/DJ behind UK #1 hit "Need U (100%)" has enjoyed great success in the last year, earning a Grammy nod and tours around the world. With festival spots and radio spins, Duke Dumont shares much of the same mixed UK bass, classic dance, and vocal pop aesthetic that has made Disclosure so popular. He doesn't have the depth of released material that some of the other acts on this list, but his quality makes up for every bit.

Gorgon City

Not Available Interstitial

The UK's Black Butter Records has no doubt had strong representation on this list, but few fit this list quite exactly like Gorgon City. The duo's bass-heavy house-inspired productions have poised them for a massive 2014 as they continue to put out fantastic vocal-infused cuts that destroy dancefloors. Their 2013 collaboration with Yasmin, "Real," showcased the duo's knack for songwriting and established the duo as one to look out for. Gorgon City might not have the shine that Disclosure has right now, but they are making some of the best music in this style.

Bondax

Not Available Interstitial

Just like Disclosure, Bondax is a duo from the UK with garage leanings. Their futuristic, atmoshperic sound and affinity for '90s vocal R&B has earned them a particularly devoted fan base. The duo's take on Blackstreet's "No Diggity" is a perfect example of why this duo is on the list.

Javeon

Not Available Interstitial

Javeon only has two tracks out right now yes, but those two alone are proof enough. "Lovesong" was produced by MNEK and "Give Up" by Tourist; each highlight Javeon's classic vocal style in that they have him gliding over classic dance beats. Javon's classic UK soul flavor is pop enough that it'll cast a widenet of fans and yet it'll still have the integrity of it's intent. With only two tracks out, Javeon is already signed to PMR (the same label as Disclosure) and managed by Ben Parmar (super producer Benny Blanco's management!), but it'll be no time before he's big around the world.

Tchami

Not Available Interstitial

We spoke to Tchami not that along ago and when we did, he delivered a blistering-hot installment of the DAD Mix series. His hard-grooving tech monster of a mix showcased Tchami's take on "future house" and although it isn't as poppy or vocal as some of Disclosure's material, we can still hear enough similarites that he warrants being on this list. Tchami's AlunaGeorge flip perfectly shows how the Frenchmen does work within a vocal tech framwork and how he can kill it. As his star rises and he has more opportunities to work with high-class vocalists, expect Tchami to blow up and share a lot of fans with Disclosure.

Shadow Child

Not Available Interstitial

Shadow Child should be at the top of your boxes already, but if not, give his music a whirl. He represents dirtybird (who gave him his debut back in 2012) and Food Music (who put out a solid Collected compilation of his in December of 2013), and he's spent the last year getting noticed (and signed) by labels included Fool's Gold, Defected, FFRR, and others, bringing his "no rules" approach to the house scene with a fury. What's crazy is Shadow Child used to be an alias for Dave Spoon, who many might remember for tunes like "Baditude" and "Bad Girl," but with his new style, he's keeping the deep house lovers enamored with his new vibes.

Hannah Wants

Not Available Interstitial

Hannah Wants' name has been on the tips of the lips of tastemakers worldwide... and for good reason. She closed out 2013 with the impressive bass-driven banger "Kneadin'" for dirtybird, although that was really the icing on the cake that she's been baking over the last three years. The result seems to be some tasty treats that sample the influences from her family and youth, while still maintaining a progressive edge.

Kidnap Kid

Not Available Interstitial

Kidnap Kid ended 2012 with a dope accolade: "Best Electronic Song of 2012," for "Vehl." He spent 2013 spreading his wings, from touring the U.S. in 2013 to knocking out official remixes for Disclosure and Emeli Sande. Of course he represents Black Butter, and of course he's providing his own unique take on today's growing house music scene, employing his own flourishes to the tried-and-true use of pop-leaning vocals, without losing himself.

Billy Kenny

Not Available Interstitial

This Leeds producer/DJ just gets it. He might not have the pedigree of some of the other acts on this list, but Billy Kenny is no doubt a quality act that every Disclosure fan will enjoy. With a penchant for flipping classic vocal tunes, Kenny's tunes usally have a phat-bottomed groove in a style that is similar to the brotherly duo. His DJ mixes are always groovy and include a healthy variety of tunes from the UK underground house & bass scene and is a great next step for fans looking to explore deeper UK music.
