Over the last three years, LA bass beast Bare has slowly dropped a ton of heaters. Anyone who can get artists like Borgore, Dieselboy, and Reid Speed excited (as well as drop a stunning EP for Scion A/V) is one to take notice of. His new material has smashed the Beatport charts whenever they touch down, and as of late he's taken to applying these bass-fueled sensibilities to the trap scene, opening up his palette to a whole new way of producing. Dude's also a phenomenal DJ, one who's plan when he touches the decks is to continuously hurt you with the freshest cuts in his arsenal.

For his contribution to our Five Tracks series, Bare has highlighted songs that have helped him as a producer. Not so much in jacking ideas, but seeing the world of music differently, and helping him find his way in his own productions. You get some Tool, some trap, and some surprises. We welcome you to Bare's Five Tracks.

Tool - "Lateralus"

Kind of gave me the vibe that you really did not have to follow any certain rules when putting a song together no matter the genre. This song to me broke alot of barriers in the whole basic song structure and is still one of my favorites 'til this day.

Afrojack - "Polkadots (Oliver Twizt Remix)"

This one I go back to now and then to remind me how simple something can be to be big despite what genre it is. Sometimes it's not in how complex or detailed a song is, but more on how strong a simple, clean idea can be the right path sometimes.

Antiserum & Mayhem - "Brick Squad Anthem"

Before hearing this, I was skeptical on trap. This really changed my mind on alot of things. It was fresh and different and really helped me move on my way to writing better music.

Major Lazer - "Original Don (Flosstradamus Remix)"

This is what really set it all off, to be honest. It had all the right elements. Keeps moving and keeps the crowd bouncing. Definitely a great template to run by.

Twinz Beatz - "Bass Gon' Drop"

My main inspiration behind a song I've got coming out soon called "VCE." This tune used a element that has worked well in dubstep, but did so while keeping the whole swing of the song G.
