Five Tracks Clicks & Whistl

After getting to know Clicks & Whistles, we decided to ask them about some of their favorite tunes. They went deep on the selection, and put together a list of five tracks that definitely make us appreciate them even more. Sure, you might have heard a few of these, but we doubt you have/own ALL of these tracks.

The best part is, this list of Five Tracks is what we want to refer to as future trap. You've got five different flavors, showcasing how untapped the trap sound really is. You might hear these kinds of vibes when Flosstradamus touches down in their Daily Dose segments, and we hope more producers of these sounds start getting exposure in 2013.

DAD proudly presents Five Tracks from Clicks & Whistles.

S-Type - "Billboard"

S TYPE LAPTOP

Their first choice makes a lot of sense. Seeing as how progressive their own sound is, Clicks & Whistles picking up on LuckyMe's own S-Type is a given. This Scottish producer seemingly shot out of nowhere and brightened up the Fall of 2012 with his Billboard EP. The intro is an uplifting thing of beauty.

Djemba Djemba - "I Just Go"

DJEMBA DJEMBA

Djemba Djemba is another name you should get to know; “I Just Go” is taken from his Jeffrees release, and is an intoxicating take on that 808 swing. The percussion on this one is also layered finely, with 808 snares running up and down in the background.

Mr. Carmack - "Roller (New Look)"

MR CARMACK

This is one of those tracks that you can’t help but get sucked in by. Deep, deadly subs and a hypnotic melody snaking up and down the track. Music to get lost to. Mr. Carmack's representing Honolulu; grab this track via his Vibes, Vol. 2 release.

Cashmere Cat - "Mirror Maru"

CASHMERE CAT

This one is for the non-believers. Cashmere Cat has created the kind of track that indicates how fresh and new trap truly is, and how wide-open the skies are for the scene. This one rides in on a piano loop in a way where you wouldn’t associate it with this budding genre, but the meat of the track is just perfectly-executed trap music. If you fancy this, grab that Mirror Maru EP.

Eprom - "Regis Chillbin (Machinedrum Remix)"

Machinedrum

While we’re not in 100% agreement with Machinedrum’s stance on the American underground, there’s no denying his prowess as a skilled producer. This one isn’t too leftfield, although the howls in the intro could make some of you party people a bit creeped out. Loads of interestingly quirky sounds found in this one. Ride out to it.
