Five Tracks: "Diplo Approved" Edition

Earlier this week, Diplo announced that he'd started a new SoundCloud account that was nothing but reposts of the the best music that isn't his. We thought it was a great look, and wanted to shed some light on the releases he's reposted (so far). With only five up there, why not take a quick Five Tracks look at what Diplo is rocking with? From big trap bangers to soothing numbers, Diplo's definitely on to something.

Schoolboy Q ft. Kendrick Lamar - "Collard Greens (Genesis Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

"Collard Greens" has the fierce, dubby bassline to begin with, but we imagine Diplo truly enjoys this being turned into a vocally-chopped trap monster. We could see loads of turnt elbows when it dips back into the lines from the original.

Tincup & Shroggy - "DRiP"

Not Available Interstitial

This one is kind of quirky; that melody, with the twisted, muted horns, is so perfect, but definitely on some other other.

Emoh Instead - Say So EP

Not Available Interstitial

Emoh Instead's Flume's partner in What So Not crime, and while this EP dropped back in October, we imagine many of the heads out there didn't pay attention. Diplo digging this one back out is kind of necessary.

Slum Village - "Fall In Love (Moody Good Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

This one is ringing off in a number of different lanes, for the good. Would love to hear Diplo drop this in a set.

Mr. Little Jeans - "The Suburbs"

Not Available Interstitial

This is one of those zones that you hear Diplo go into, but not always during his live shows. Mellow, moody, and refreshing, this is a great palette-cleanser. And two years old. Never too late to discover a gem.
