The tech house duo known as Pleasurekraft has been putting it down in 2013, with the original and remix work being featured on Cajual, Bitten, Off Recordings, and other imprints. Tech house's on the rise, and these guys deliver deep, underground bangers. We hit them up for Five Tracks, and not only were they intrigued by the idea, but Pleasurekraft had a lot to say about their Five Tracks selection; here are their thoughts on what you can expect:

"Even though at this point people have come to think of Pleasurekraft as a tech house outfit churning out unique club friendly tunes, we didn't want to continue down that road for our first album.  Of course the album isn't finished yet (we're aiming for end of February/March with a release date of fall 2014?) but stylistically it will take most people off guard.  We figured this was our chance to do something completely different than when we release singles or EPs.  Musically, there's a lot of '80s influences on the records which is not really present in any of our previous club targeted work. So for our Five Tracks, the common thread we chose was contemporary dance music with that heavy '80s influence.  It was hard to only choose five tracks, but Kavinsky's "Nightcall," for instance, everyone and their mother knows by now since the film Drive and now Oliver is also rapidly becoming a household name.  So here are five that perhaps are a little more under the radar."
