Axwell's been quoted as saying, “If there were a Dutch version of Swedish House Mafia, it would be Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano.” That's a pretty huge accolade for this duo from Amsterdam that bills themselves as "the world's most energetic house DJ duo!" They have been on the scene for the last five years, touching many different regions of the world, from the U.S. to Asia, and have had their singles, including the massive "Lethal Industry," getting props from Pete Tong, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and others. They've also had a pair of singles on Steve Angello's SIZE imprint, and have remixed the likes of Afrojack, Ferry Corsten, and Kaskade just to name a few.

For their Five Tracks, these two take us on a pretty intriguing ride. This might be the first time someone has mentioned Michael Jackson, although this surely won't be the last we hear of artists being influenced by Daft Punk. Get to know Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano a bit more with this week's Five Tracks.

It was featured on his album Bad. Michael Jackson has inspired us in making music. The beats, vocals, melodies, it's so unbelievably catchy, but it's a song that never tires. Everytime we hear it we discover new things happening in the mix.

George Benson - "The Ghetto"

This famous blues/soul/jazz artist who is just as well know for his guitar playing covered "The Ghetto" (a song written by Donny Hathaway). This sums him up in sound and feel as he went back to rediscover his old influences and his style of playing a groove grips you right from the start when you hear it.

Dennis Ferrer - "Transitions"

This track by Dennis Ferrer, a true legend in the dance scene, is one that will really get you moving. There is just something about it that keeps it grooving and building until you think you've reached the top and just then it kicks in with something else and that brings you to a level. That, for some DJs, is just a dream. We just love when those bongos kick in. Yes!

DJ Gregory - "Soldiers"

On this track DJ Gregory brews up a tropical storm - always turning, never letting go. We love the great use of percussion to keep the track driving and with the brass kicking in; it's almost as if your transported to a carnival in Brazil.

What can we say about Daft Punk, since their explosion on to the scene with their debut album Homework, we have been big fans. They just have that something different, you can hear their love and understanding of classic pop music as they are big fans of The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones. We think that is why they appeal to such a wide audience not just to fans of electronic dance music. They are a real big influence for us.
