If you follow the machinations of the bass music scene, you should be in tune to JSTJR's sound. He's known for being a part of the moombahton scene, but also has dabbled in zouk bass, the 100BPM/bounce/twerk sound, and a number of bits in between. Hell, he's even blended the moombah sound with jungle and dancehall with "Ragga Breaks," which is one of the more interesting tunes within today's growing scene. That ability to slip and slide between different hybrid sounds could bode well for the producer, as this is a trademark of someone like Diplo, who's Major Lazer crew isn't scared of collaboration with a number of dancehall vocalists. One has to wonder: if "Ragga Breaks" is part of a new evolution for JSTJR, how far away would collaborating with certified dancehall dons be? We figured we'd get the ball rolling, and come up with a group of artists that could greatly benefit from the new school sounds that JSTJR provides, who'd in turn get exposure in different regions of the world for these forward-thinking bangers.
