Earlier this week, Life In Color announced that 2 Chainz would be headlining their Life In Color show in Miami later this year. While we figured there was going to be hate (spoiler alert: there was) over him being booked for an EDM festival, we sat confused by people asking why 2 Chainz was booked. You'd think this was the first time a rapper ever played an EDM show. We know this is hardly the case, especially in a year where Snoop Dogg was booked for the Ultra Music Festival. Don't believe us? We have proof. Here are a number of rappers who have performed at EDM festivals over the last few years.

EDM festivals played: Hard Summer 2013

We're confused about you being confused about 2 Chainz headlining Life In Color Miami, and this set is why. Maybe it's the fact that he's headlining, but HARD brought him out to LA this summer to have him perform "R.I.P." and "I'm Different," which the crowd seems to love.

Snoop Dogg

EDM festivals played: Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival 2013

This can't be a surprise; Snoop goes where the money is, for good or ill. He's already worked with Boys Noize in the past, performing on "Got It" from Boys Noize's Out of the Black album. During Snoop's Ultra Music Festival 2013 appearance, they linked up for a fly live performance of said tune.

Azealia Banks

Ultra Music Festival also played host to Azealia Banks, who can be seen performing "Esta Noche," the Munchi-produced track that caused a bunch of issues last fall.

EDM festivals played: Trillectro 2013

A$AP Ferg was schduled to perform at Trillectro 2013 and brought out A$AP Rocky for a HYPE performance of their "Work" remix. Right time, and the right crowd, made this super turnt.

Action Bronson

EDM festivals played: Hard Summer 2012

Action Bronson repped for the Fool's Gold Clubhouse at HARD Summer 2012, going into the crowd and showing the people what time it was.

Wale

EDM festivals played: Counterpoint 2012

Georgia's Counterpoint Festival did dip in the sea of non-EDM acts, and Wale was an MC that was included. For what its worth, it seems like the blonde shorty next to this smartphone cinematographer was feeling the set. PLURNT.

Danny Brown

EDM festivals played: Camp Bisco 2013, Electric Forest 2013

Danny Brown ran rampant with tour dates in 2013, and has played a large number of the world's finest festivals. With his Fool's Gold affiliation and Detroit roots, he can straddle the fence between EDM and hip-hop, and being placed at some of the bigger festivals just makes sense.

Big Boi

EDM festivals played: Counterpoint 2012

Makes sense for one of ATL's finest to represent for Atlanta's Counterpoint Festival, seen here performing "I'm On It (Kryptonite)" with a live band.

GZA

EDM festivals played: DC Mega Fall 2013

We know Datsik loved this; GZA performing live alongside Datsik, Luminox, Doctor P, and others? And going back to his Liquid Swords album? WITH ALL OF THAT FIRE?!??

Lil Jon

EDM festivals played: Ultra Music Festival 2013

Hardwell shut the Twitter down with his Ultra Music Festival 2013 set, and part of the magic of that set was Lil Jon's emergence during "Welcome to the Jungle." Even if his performance only included jumping around and screaming "WELCOME TO MIAMI, BITCH!," it was epic. And unexpected.
