Without a doubt, 2013 has been Avicii‘s year. True has been a staple since it was released in September, with tracks like “Wake Me Up” doing the damn thing on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs Chart (which is just about a year old). Billboard recently reported that Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” has spent 14 weeks at the top of the Dance/Electronic Songs Chart, eclipsing Daft Punk‘s 13-week reign earlier this year with “Get Lucky.” His latest True single, “Hey Brother,” has also made an impact, not only breaking the top 10 on the same chart, but hitting #78 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its debut. Cause for celebration, yeah?

“Wake Me Up” has nothing to do with edm. It’s just pop.
