Seriously. It looks like Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply is throwing a private Fourth of July Avicii concert on Governor's Island, but the only way to get a ticket is to purchase $75 worth of Denim & Supply merchandise at a participating store. If you spend $300, you can get up to four tickets. Hopefully this concert has fireworks.
The locations are only in New York and New Jersey; check out all of the info via denimandsupply.com. This kicked off on May 20, and will only be available while supplies last.
EDIT We just got word that this private Avicii concert has been moved from Governor's Island to Pier 36.
EDIT Avicii's July 4 concert has been postponed. Here's the official word we received from representatives at Ralph Lauren: "Due to limited and restricted access on the Lower East Side of Manhattan on the evening of July 4th, the Avicii concert, scheduled to take place on Governor’s Island, will be postponed to a new date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers, Avicii, and Avicii’s fans in the New York metro area.
