While we're pretty sure Avicii's debut album True didn't have critics buzzing (although he set the Billboard charts ablaze), it surely made an impact on the charts. I have to be real: I know a wide variety of dance music lovers, and I'm not sure there were a lot of them hype off that album. Not to say it isn't good, but I'm more just wondering who actually bought it. I've seen heads on the train with the True cover coming up on their iPhones, but what about the people who actually follow the scene with some interest?
I digress. While currently rehabbing his recent gallbladder surgery, Avicii took to Twitter to announce that he'll be "goin back to work" on his second album. Will his progression be more of the pop-friendly, country-influenced sounds of True? We don't doubt it, but we wouldn't be surprised if he was working on something a bit different. Sophomore album might have him taking things in a different direction. We'll keep you posted as more information on what will be one of the more talked-about albums of whatever year its said to come out.
Relaxing in laguna beach for a couple of days before goin back to work on second album! Cant wait for people see whats in store...
