Blvck Alive Says That Their Track “Gamma Death” Was Used In An Ali G Commercial Without Their Approval

Tonight, FXX is debuting their rebranded Da Ali G Show under Ali G: Rezurection. It will feature episodes from the HBO series, as well as ones that hadn’t been aired in the U.S. for whatever reason. We’re not sure how long the ad you see up above has been airing (although it seems to have been running over the last few weeks), but the producers behind the dubstep tune in the spot say that their track was used without their knowledge or consent.

Blvck Alive say that their track “Gamma Death,” which Noctem Audio released in July of 2013, is the tune you hear in the spot, but no one at FXX or behind Ali G: Rezurection contacted them or Noctem Audio about using the track. Give the tune a listen:

From what we understand, Blvck Alive is looking into how their track got used. We all know that music is needed in promo spots like this… but let a producer / label head / manager know, so everyone can be taken care of. We’ll keep you posted on this situation.
