DAD's been hype over the official Daft Punk merch, and for good reason. Since Random Access Memories dropped, there have been a number of different dope knock-offs of the logo on t-shirts and other pieces of merch. Having Daft Punk continue to push their brand via belts, posters, and more is the shit, and today we see that Daft Punk has added slipmats with their helmets on them for $35 a pop. Don't know what slipmats are, young androids? Those are the covers you put on your turntable platters so that the records can glide back and forth without being scratched or messed up when you're mixing and scratching.

Sadly, the best turntable ever created, the Technics SL-1200, have been retired since 2010. And while a petition to get Panasonic to start manufacturing these Technics has been going since January, it's only recently started to gain steam, with FACT reporting that 5,000 signatures have been gathered in the last five days, taking the total number of signatures up to over 8100. They even have their own Facebook page. And while it might be easier to just hit up eBay and try your luck, but with the rise in vinyl sales in some markets, this might be a great look for Panasonic.

Plus, we need something to put these ill slipmats on.
