Now things are starting to make sense, and this should be awesome. Back in June, we got word that Mau5trap had joined the Capitol Music Group family, which wasn’t fleshed out during the summer, but today we hear that deadmau5 has officially partnered with the legendary Astralwerks (which is also a part of the Capitol Music Group) to not only be “the U.S. home to future deadmau5 artist releases,” but will be both the distributor and label-partner with deadmau5′ Mau5trap imprint. To get the ball rolling, the WE ARE FRIENDS VOL. 2 compilation has been announced, which will feature two new deadmau5 tracks, including “Suckfest9001.” deadmau5 was ecstatic, being quoted as saying “So, it’s now official… Yep, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Astralwerks! It’s done, and this shit is happening! Big plans are in motion people. BIG.” Astralwerks GM Glenn Mendlinger says that “Joel is an absolute trailblazer, pushing the boundaries of electronic music, production, and the live experience to places unimaginable without his vision and contribution. This is an exciting moment, but it’s only the beginning. Watch this space…

Give the history of electronic music that Astralwerks has brought to America, its great to see that they plan on taking it further in the coming years. Here’s the full tracklist for WE ARE FRIENDS VOL. 2, which is set to be released on November 12, with pre-sales going down on October 22.
