Last night, Deorro took to his Twitter account to ask about selling out. While I don't really agree with the answer he retweeted (as the definition involves much more compromising of one's character and integrity to cash in), I like where he went with the conversation, which ended up in him announcing that he is going to quit DJing. Why? Because it's keeping him away from his #FAM (family and music), among other things. Part of his argument for taking time off to DJ reminds me of Rob Swire's thoughts on taking time out to concentrate solely on creating music. I'm not sure if the monies made off of producing music is enough to supplement the monies not being made as a touring DJ, but piece of mind being around family and pushing your career can be worth it. He did leave it open regarding possibly touring later on, but for right now, you have to respect Deorro's decision.
