Well, that didn’t take long. Disclosure rang off in the UK, topping the charts whenever new material dropped. Their debut album, Settle, debuted at #1 on the UK charts when it was released in June, selling over 44,000 copies. It was confirmed yesterday that the brothers Lawrence have reached Gold status in the United Kingdom, and they tweeted their plaques:
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BOUGHT SETTLE!!! WE ARE GOLD! pic.twitter.com/F21ZGSLduF

Now, in the UK, a “Gold” certification means that they sold 100,000 copies of the project. That’s a far cry from America’s 500K requirement, but fuck it, this is still great for a dance act that we all knew would succeed. And that was only in two months.
