An Autopsy Shows That DJ Rashad Died From a Drug Overdose

It has to have been a rough coupe of months for the family of DJ Rashad, which includes the TEKLIFE crew. Since he passed back in April, there's been speculation on the cause of death. The initial reports said it was a drug overdose, but with a previous autopsy coming back with inconclusive results (and one of Rashad's family members pining the cause to a bloodclot in his leg), it was hard to really pin down what took Rashad from us so suddenly.

Today, NBC Chicago is reporting that autopsy results say Rashad died from a drug overdose. They actually state that toxicology tests found that the cause of death was accidental, stemming from "heroin, cocaine and alprazolam intoxication."

TEKLIFE's been moving on (and strong), touring the world and putting out music at a steady pace. DJ Spinn spoke out on his Facebook page, posting the following update:

"The truth is the truth but I feel it's not the tv nor social media's place to put my brother Rashad Teklife autopsy report out after he's been gone from us since April. They can't talk about you while you here....but as soon as your gone they use these stories to get these company attention. I'm just saddened and I feel very disrespected right now. And to all u assholes sharing these reports.......FUCK U BITCH ASS NIGGAS, YALL NEVER US ANYWAY!!!!"

Our condolences go out to Rashad's family, friends, and crew. He's definitely missed, and we know the DAD staff and readers have had their Ls up since before Rashad passed. Rest in power.
