No matter what you think, social media can be an important tool in the development of an artist. Whether you're interacting with your fans or just making sure your presence is out there, a strong social media game can be vital to your career. One thing we realize is that some DJs and producers can get lost in keeping up with tweets and updates, or just spending time on the various sites chatting or speaking their mind. We don't know what camp Flux Pavilion fell into, but yesterday he made it plain that he's giving up social media, so he can use that time being constructive. His Facebook update received some flack, but his reasoning is pretty sound... especially if you're a fan of his music!
