Hot Since 82 is really one his own level. The 30-year-old Englishman is taking another step forward now with his debut mix album Knee Deep In Sound. The album comes November via HS82’s own imprint (also named Knee Deep In Sound) and Ultra, and will include new tracks that he’s A&R’d and of course, his own new music. Speaking on the album the star DJ said "The plan was to always release a mix album, but since I started the label I’m getting so much amazing new music sent through and the more I worked on it (the comp), the more I wanted to sign the majority of the music! So I’ve ended up with nearly every track being on my label. Kinda crazy, but great!”
Hot Since ’82 has steadily grown his profile. A string of festival shows and now a big tour and a new album really puts Hot Since ’82 at a level that few really attain.
Now on top of all that, the UK DJ is also hosting and live-streaming his own house party (at his actual home, too!). The caveat is that the live broadcast is only available to those who pre-order the album from his website (those of you who sign up for his mailing list get a free tune, "Womb"). Truth be told, you should be doing that anyway as there's really no question that this will be a top mix album this year if his work to date is any indication.
