James Blake Announces New Album, “Overgrown”

Post-dubstep, chillout, soultronica, chin-stroking hipster crap, doesn’t matter what you might call it, James Blake is certainly a talented musician and we’re happy to hear he’s got a new album coming out this year, Overgrown. His first record, the eponymously-titled debut was a critical darling, and now we’re sure that this one will have our ears ready to go. We don’t know much but we do know that BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe will be premiering the first single “Retrograde” on his show today at 7:30PM GMT, and while we ourselves haven’t heard it yet, we expect that Mr. Blake will be evolving his sound and we’re excited to see where he goes with it.

The single will be available for purchase on February 11 via Republic, with the full LP due on April 8. If you’ve got a hankering for Blake, make sure to catch his North American tour kicking off on April 14 at Coachella (check Page 2 for the full list of tour dates).
