Moderat Pushes Tour Dates to 2014 Due to Motorcycle Accident

One group we’ve not given enough shine to is Moderat, which features the oft-talked about Modeselektor. They released II, their second album, which has received a lot of buzz (and chatter) amongst a few of the DAD writers, as well as via these glorious Internets. The group was planning on hitting the road, but an unfortunate motorcycle accident has derailed those plans. As they explained on their website:

“On Saturday afternoon (07.09.2013) Sascha Ring, member of the band Moderat had a motorcycle accident in Berlin. We are happy to announce that given the circumstances, Sascha and his girlfriend – who was with him at the time – are doing well. However, Sascha has sustained a complicated multiple leg fracture that is likely to impede his mobility greatly in the coming weeks and possibly months. To ensure his full recovery we will have to postpone all upcoming Moderat tour dates until January 2014. Tickets retain their validity.”

They also released the updated list of dates (all of which are in Europe), which you can check out below. They promise more dates to come, so hopefully they’ll be in the States sometime soon.
