Movement, Detroit’s premier 3-day music festival showcasing electronic music acts from across the globe and across all genres of music, has released the 2nd Phase of artists on their roster today, and it looks much, much different than the previous years.  As Chuck Flask (Movement’s artist coordinator) stated that Movement “wanted to have some fun with the lineup this year” when announcing Phase 1’s lineup, they weren’t joking: This next phase really looks like people that have made proper waves in the past year.

For instance: In one corner of the musical spectrum you have the Mad Decent team – Bauuer, Flosstradamus, RiFF RAFF, DJ Snake, and Just Blaze; in another corner you have acts like Bonobo, Jamie xx, Bicep, Boys Noize, Jacques Greene, Ryan Hemsworth, and Kode9 all making their first appearance at the Detroit festival. In terms of the Detroiters aka the local legends (or legends in the making) – DJ Godfather, Golf Clap, Kevin Reynolds, Kevin Saunderson (who is doing a showcase called Origins – showcasing past, present, and future Detroit techno talent), Robert Hood, and Andrés have all been tapped to grace the stage this year.

Movement is May 24-26th, 2014; With General Admission tickets at $110 and VIP tickets at $230 – Movement still remains one of the more affordable festivals around. Head over to movement.us more information.
