In celebration of being on tour with Salva and Sinden for the #4ALL Club tour, DC-to-LA dance-masters Nadastrom recently released their 80-minute FULL CYCLE mix for Red Bull. For those just believing Nadastrom to either be a Baltimore club or moombahton duo, the level of depth that the duo truly brings to the table is more than apparent in the mix. As a DC native, awareness of the diverse tastes of Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom was part of the enjoyment of witnessing their rise as a unity. From stumbling into a three-hour Nadastrom deep house set at the equivalent of a VFW hall in January 2009, hearing Dave Nada all-rap sets on an occasion or two, and being present for the birth, development, and expansion of the spirit of moombahton, this mix makes sense and is a welcome reminder of the past, present and future.
The mix itself starts hot and heavy with ubiquitous 2013 house-inspired hitmakers Disclosure, and cuts an impressive path through Fela Kuti edits, Danny Brown, yet another arguably amazing remix of Alex Clare's "Up All Night" that has assisted greatly in the duo's breakout. Shout outs to DC in the presence of tracks by the ultra-talented Beautiful Swimmers and rock-meets-dance trio Misun's 3ball-flavored "Hills and Trails" and more.
Insofar as touring with Sinden and Salva? The duo told Red Bull that "between Salva, Sinden, and us, we're all huge music nerds and share similar tastes in club music, so we thought it would be a dope idea for all of us tag at the end of the night.
