Neosignal, aka the union of Phace & Misanthrop, have laid pretty low in 2012 (although their awesome "Stigma" remix let us know they weren't snoozing), and with today's announcement, we now know why.

They've been putting the final touches on their Neosignal album, which should be wrapped up sometime this month. They're calling it a "digital band" album, and even mention that Thijs from Noisia have called it "neo digital krautrock." However you try to describe it, it sounds like a departure from the futuristic drum & bass we're used to from this outfit. It looks like they are shopping this project around, as it doesn't appear to be coming out on the Neosignal imprint.

You dnb heads shouldn't feel left out, though; Neosignal also mention that Neosignal Recordings and Neodigital will be seeing releases in 2013 as well, including a possible re-release of Phace's Psycho album, that could possibly include his full back catalog from Teebee's Subtitles label! Time will tell, but it looks like the forward-thinkers will be present and accounted for in 2013.
