Who Poisoned a Security Guard at Canada’s Shambhala Festival?

shambhala-2013

The Shambhala Music Festival has been in existence for 15 years, showcasing a slew of talent on a farm in the middle of British Columbia, Canada.  This is a family owned enterprise.  The farm owners’ children produce the festival.  Shambhala also doesn’t accept any corporate sponsorship whatsoever.  This means fans aren’t bombarded with unwanted advertising, and the show isn’t being swayed by corporate politics.  This family represents everything we love in a festival, and the underdog is winning.

This year’s festival saw performances from A-TrakKnight Riderz, TerravitaExcision, Kastle, Foreign Beggars, Kill Paris, Truth, Paper Diamond, Clicks & Whistles, UZ, Mayhem, SKisM, Loadstar, and a stack of other bass gods graced the six stages last weekend. Hip-Hop enthusiasts even got a chance to see People Under The Stairs. This is an incredibly thorough production, and has been for years.

2000 workers and volunteers are needed in order to create this musical utopia, and as the festival represents a family vibe, imagine their need for justice.  One of their workers, a female security guard, was handed a sealed bottle of water. It reportedly contained a high concentration of GHB and LSD. The security team has been working this event for 13 years, and is looking for any information that can help them identify the individual that poisoned one of their team. If you were in attendance and know of anything, they ask that you come forward with any information that you may have via the Shambhala contact form.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything further on this.
