No matter how you feel about Steve Aoki's music, his work as a humanitarian and philanthropist can't be discounted. While he embarked on his Aokify America tour last year, he was collecting $65,000 through his Steve Aoki Fund, donating $1 for every ticket sold. The funds are said to be going to Brain Preservation Foundation, University of Rochester Medical Center- Memory Care Program, American Brain Foundation, and Infusio, all organizations that deal in neurological health. Aoki feels that his charity work is "just as important to me as my music," and it's great to see that he's making sure that he's doing more than stacking bread in a bank account. Good for him.
