One thing I’m tired of? People tripping over the term “EDM.” If you follow Do Androids Dance, you know that we highlight all sides of the dance music scene, from the most mainstream to the super niche unknown. And while we get that people hate more on what EDM means (i.e. the hyper-mainstream, molly-whopping music that attracts corporate dollars) than the actual music, we’re determined to showcase that EDM really is “electronic dance music.” We won’t shy away from the most captivating acts, and as we prove every week over on Pigeons & Planes (who has a celebration coming up), we’re not going away. We will continue to bring you the best of the best, and drilling that ethos into your head. /stepsdownfrompodium

THIS WEEK IN EDM

  • YES/NO MUSIC

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… I find that EDM is just a three-syllabled version of what people used to call ‘Dance’ music. can we still call it dance or is EDM a must-say?
