It’s been an interesting time in KC (my city) as of late with a lot more electronic acts coming to town on a more frequent basis. Sure we have the big theater shows with Bassnectar, Excision, and Krewella that sell out but it seems like every market is getting those shows now because of the saturation of those artists. But last night Com Truise brought his Wave 1 tour to The Record Bar, an intimate spot that is primarily a rock music venue and holds around 250 people. And if you know anything about his music, it’s typically head nod-inducing headphone music. Seeing a random almost capacity crowd on a Wednesday night be full of life and energy dancing to his tunes like it was a full blown party was definitely a bit of a trip. He ran through a majority of the new album and some older favorites as well, but the crowd stuck with him throughout. Truly impressed in the live interpretations of his catalog and even more impressed in KC supporting this talented artist the way they did.
