Ahhh, Justice. In one of the most unexpected gifts of personal musical indulgence since my first Now album at the ripe age of nine, the notorious French duo of Gaspard and Xavier have teamed up with some true heavy hitters and dropped a real treat for the fans this month. The Helix EP not only includes an extended cut of the original that will take any audiophile to full climax, but a couple new, deep cuts to tide you over until festival season ("new" being a very loose word here, but we'll take what we can get).

But the real reason this EP is getting so much (well-deserved) hype is the two completely unique, and completely groove inducing remixes by Gesaffelstein and Domenico Torti. Truth be told, I'm a big fan of Gesaffelstein and love what he did on the remix. It feels like I'm about to fight bowser in the final level of Mario - and that's bad ass. In fact, I think if Justice and Gessafelstein teamed up on writing the soundtrack for a video game, nerds worldwide would completely lose their shit at the level of pure unadulterated, epicness that game would have. It would redefine videogames (Nice try, Lana.) as we know them, and usher in a new world musical game-dom.

That said... Domenico Torti's "Headspin" remix lives up to its name and explodes halfway through with what could have turned into a purely chopped and screwed style, but keeps hooked you from start to finish with a unique flare, funk, and outstanding production quality that could only be expected on a Justice EP.

Scope the extended cut and the Domenico Torti remix below, and definitely pick up a copy of the whole EP on iTunes.
