Trapped out techno defines Brodinski's latest single "Can't Help Myself," which features Chicago-based emcee SD. The French producer's absolutely locked in on the hot sound of what's next, and the track (featured on the new Bromance Records compilation Homieland Vol. 1) definitely heads in a direction with rap that feels more street-ready and progressive than anything "g-house" or trap are doing these days. But the real clincher is this video clip. Directed by Megaforce, it portrays a dystopian cinescape where falling in love with the drug-fueled reckless abandon of underground life feels like the best way out. Maybe a statement as to what we can expect from Brodinski sonically in 2015, his soon-to-be-released artist album likely will fill in the rest of the score.
