If you’ve missed Chet Faker‘s last few efforts you’re about to catch on at right the time. The Aussie singer-songwriter electronic musician has collab’d with Flume and covered Blackstreet, so now with a debut album (Built On Glass) on the way (out April 11 on Future Classic / Downtown Records), it’s high time we were blessed with a peep at what this album might sound like. Two months ahead of (release) schedule, we’ve got the first single and visual in “Talk Is Cheap.” The single, which features Faker’s intimate songwriting, a stunning sax, and a folksy warmness to it, is a breath of fresh air. It’s only a matter of time before the whole world realizes just how special Chet is. Somewhere between Bon Iver, James Blake, and Ray LaMontagne, I can easily see this guy headlining some massive festivals in the future.
