PREMIERE: DECiBEL – “Coke”

DECiBEL is one of those producers that we can’t get enough of; feels like I’ve been spending the last year and a half trying to get people to understand what makes him so monstrous. Looks like the Slit Jockey camp gets it, as they released his brilliantly-titled Game Ain’t Based On Sympathy EP back in April. The EP preview featured a sick computer graphics-laden video, and they continued in that vein for the official video for EP standout “Coke” (which was made by James Webster). Desktops and audio hardware floating around a warped club environment? All about it. With so much going on in the track, from the massive bass to the bevy of lasers darting in and out, this video is a perfect representation of the source material. Hopefully that street bass sound will continue to resonate on both sides of the Atlantic.
