Straight up and down, this is a tune right here. Drums of Death have been a name we've had our eyes on this year, with their Yasmin-featured "True" captivating us for a few weeks over the summer. "FIERCE," though? This channels so much. A lot of this new bass-heavy house sound coming from the UK over the last year or so dips into the throwback house sounds... like back when house was the soundtrack for gay Black and Latino youth in America. The term "fierce" comes directly from that scene, and throwing samples of the legendary Franklin Fuentes in this to drop wax poetic on being fierce is just perfect, especially for this twisted tune that's all thumping riddims. From what Drums of Death told THUMP, this is the full version of two separate; fans of Azealia Banks might remember she dropped vocals onto "Fierce" on her Fantasea mixtape, but there was also a version with only Franklin Fuentes on it. This version of "FIERCE" combines the two, and it's so, well, FIERCE, that it had to get an official video. The best part? Drums of Death gave this away for a Facebook like. So fierce.
