In the past, we've seen the good folks at DontWatchThatTv provide "Beat This" episodes from DJ Clent and Traxman, but they didn't get down like this. Four Tet grabbed a copy of Michael Jackson's Thriller, recorded some bits via a portable turntable, and via Ableton creates something that's eerily similar and vastly different at the same time. The way he builds the track, pouring through different loops before he gets it right? Pretty damn awesome. Love that "over the shoulder" vibe this gives you. I'd pay to see him do this live.
