Jackson and His Computer Band – “Dead Living Things”

Out this week on Warp is Jackson and His Computerband’s Glow, and the Alexandre Courtès-directed clip for “Dead Living Things” (which features vocals from Planningtorock) hit the Internets today. Courtès previously directed The White Stripes “Seven Nation Army,” and has done projects with Daft Punk and Phoenix, and says this particularly intriguing piece “is a direct reference to the works of Fellini and David Lynch. It is a juxtaposition of life scenes and actions that have nothing to do with each other in particular, that however create a fantastic dynamic and resolutely surreal experience.” It’s one of those videos you might need to rewatch a few times to let it all soak in, as well as pick up any pieces you may have missed.
