Ms. Dynamite & Shy FX - "Cloud 9"

This makes perfect sense. Ms. Dynamite has been a pioneer in her own right, bringing a beauty to the art of vocalizing dance music, as well as just being a great voice for the UK scene in general, while Shy FX has evolved into this back-to-the-future producer, infusing the reggae from his youth into the forward-thinking styles he dabbles in these days. For this collaborative track, which is due out on October 21 and is said to be the first of an EP from Ms. Dynamite, we get to hear a track that goes from the proper reggae vibe to the roots-inspired drum & bass that we associated Shy with. And it's amazing. To the point where if you said "here are 10 tracks that sound exactly like 'Cloud 9,'" we might not be that upset. Beauty for the mind, body, and soul.
