Last week, audio of this interview was surfacing, but I was actually waiting for the video to emerge. On the same day that Astronomar and Neoteric represented Main Course on Sway In The Morning, Skrillex also touched down for a special interview with Sway. While a lot of it is Skrillex 101 (whether its talking about From First To Last to his music blowing up), he does dig into a lot of topics, from working with Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment on "Coast Is Clear" to more. Love the point where he starts looking at the acts going on tour with him and gets excited talking about guys like VINDATA and Kaytranada.
It's also interesting to see him talk about things I've seen when I interviewed him in Complex, like the building in Chinatown that he owns and is developing into studios and such. He also speaks out on the Burning Man booing rumor, mirroring Diplo's comments about no one booing. This is the morning show, though, so they also ask him about Ellie Goulding, but one of the better parts is that you can hear him talking about how busy guys like him and Diplo can be, but he doesn't come off as a douche or an asshole or anything–he's super humble and super easy to talk to. I'm just glad that everyone gets to see what I saw earlier this year.
