Complex TV and DoAndroidsDance? Present The Drop: Rusko

Without a doubt, Rusko was one of the dubstep producers that seemed to really make noise in the American scene. He gained steam during dubstep’s first real charge, dropping material via Dub Police and Sub Soldiers before signing with Mad Decent. Instead of re-signing with Diplo‘s imprint, he decided to ride it out solo, releasing music on his own while putting out things like the drum & bass EP Lift Me Up on OWSLA. We’re loving that we got a chance to sit down with Rusko and get a look at how his brain operates for this week’s episode of “The Drop.” Photek gets Rusko talking about attending the Leeds College of Music, the swing EP he’s working on, and how he was able to pull off not touring with a lighting guy.
