French DJ Francois K has been seen the history of dance music unfold in the US. He’s been in the States since the mid-1970s, putting in work at Studio 54, Paradise Garage, and many of the illest hotspots for dance music at the time. He’s seen the world, and after getting into deeper styles of techno and dub started a residency at Deep Space, which turned 10 years old earlier this year. When the Red Bull Music Academy hit New York this past month, it made sense that they aligned with Deep Space for a special night, which brought in Giorgio Moroder for his first ever live DJ gig. They also had a special lecture with Francois, where he digs into all of this and more. Truly informative.
