During the entire hoopla about a new Daft Punk album, before we knew it was called Random Access Memories, came from Nile Rodgers, a legendary producer and musician, who helped create the disco movement what it was. He’d done everything from producing for Diana Ross and forming Chic to scoring Coming to America. For his edition of “The Collaborators,” Rodgers speaks on the work he’s done in the past, and how, working with Daft Punk, he felt like he was working with contemporaries. He even plays some of his guitar to the track off of their album. Awe-inspiring.
